Switch it Up: Summer Skincare

I'm starting a new series here on this blog called "Switch it Up", which will cover beauty, fashion, and lifestyle changes for the seasonal transitions. Here is the first installment of the series which will go over some small adjustments to your skincare regimen that will help your skin be the best it can be during the summertime. Enjoy!

For those of us that have oily-prone skin during the

summertime, try using a oil mattifier underneath

your makeup to keep those oily pores at bay so

you can look dewey without looking greasy. This

one by Murad is great because it is light and

contains SPF to help protect your skin from UV

rays whenever you are out and about. Also with

this product, a little goes a long way so it'll last

you some time.

Sunscreen is even more necessary during

the summertime when you are out and about

and your skin is more frequently exposed

to the sun and the UV rays. This L'Oréal

sunscreen comes out clear and has an

instantly cooling effect when applied.

Not only does it protect your skin from the sun

but it also contains antioxidants and remains

water resistant for 80 minutes, all while still

feeling light-weight and refreshing on

your skin.

Moisturizer is always an important
necessity

but when it gets hot and humid in the

summertime, no one wants to put heavy creams

on their face. This moisturizer by Proactiv is

lightweight and oil-free so it won't feel heavy

on your skin or clog pores but while still

hydrating your skin. Also it has SPF 15 to

protect your skin everyday from UV rays even

when you forget sunscreen.

Hydrate! You always should be drinking lots

of water and staying hydrated but even more

so in the summer when you are losing water

through sweating. This water bottle from Blogilate's

merch has a compartment that allows you to

customize your water. You can add tea bags, frozen fruit,

lemons, or whatever you want to add a twist to

drinking water. It also has times listed on the

side to remind you to keep drinking water throughout

the day.
